KSL recently ran a story on Michelle Thompson, a woman in South Jordan, UT who was diagnosed with cancer. With the help of a newly-approved procedure that eliminates tumors along the spine, Michelle says she is “reversing a no-reversible trend,” which is often not the case with cancer.

The SMART Clinic physicians, including Dr. Adelman, were the first to diagnose Michelle. They directed her work-up and initially diagnosed her cancer after obtaining an MRI of her spine.

After Michelle’s surgery, Dr. Adelman oversaw her re-hab. Dr. Adelman’s successful work with Michelle has led experts in the field to rethink how they go about performing procedures, specifically the inclusion of rehab specialists post-surgery.
